THE 10-SECOND EXECUTION: How a Bizarre Coding Bug is Letting ‘Palworld’ Players One-Shot Hard Mode Bosses
Palworld 1.0 Players Are ONE-SHOTTING The Hard Mode Tower Boss Using A Game-Breaking “Soaked” Glitch! 😱🔥
While casuals are desperately struggling to survive the timer against the brutal Auri & Shaolong duo, elite theorycrafters just exposed a bizarre coding error that leaves the endgame bosses vulnerable to instant death for exactly 10 seconds…
Are you still grinding for Legendary Schematics the hard way, or have you learned the “Thunder Rail” synergy that literally deletes millions of HP in a single hit? Tap the link below to see the exact team build before Pocketpair patches this massive oversight! 👇

The introduction of Hard Mode Tower Bosses in Palworld version 1.0 was meant to push the community to its absolute limits. Designed to be grueling, timer-restricted battles demanding perfect dodging and meticulously bred Pal teams, these encounters yield some of the rarest Legendary Schematics in the game.
But the Palworld community has, once again, found a way to completely break the math.
A newly discovered exploit involving the dreaded Water-type boss duo, Auri & Shaolong, is currently sweeping across Discord servers and Reddit forums. By taking advantage of a highly specific coding oversight that occurs during the arena loading screen, players are dealing millions of points of damage and executing the boss in a single attack.
Highlighted in a mechanical breakdown by prominent Palworld analyst The Pal Professor, the strategy is being dubbed “Soaked Abuse.” Here is exactly how players are turning the hardest fight in the game into a 10-second joke, and the specific synergy builds they are using to do it.
The Glitch: The “Soaked” Oversight
To understand the exploit, one must understand how elemental status conditions—referred to in the game’s code as “Aggregates”—function in version 1.0.
Auri & Shaolong are a Water-type boss encounter. Under standard Palworld mechanics, Water-type Pals are completely immune to the “Soaked” aggregate. Much like Fire Pals cannot be Burned, and Ice Pals cannot be Frozen, you are not supposed to be able to apply Water-based debuffs to a Water boss.
However, theorycrafters discovered a glaring bug. When a player initiates the Hard Mode fight against Auri & Shaolong, the boss spawns into the arena with the “Soaked” status already applied for exactly 10 seconds.
“When the fight starts, Auri spends 10 seconds Soaked,” demonstrated The Pal Professor. “You will see that [if you shoot them with a Water Pal like Ofidia] it’s not reapplying the Soaked, because Water Pals are immune. So for some reason, Auri and Shaolong have this bug where they start the fight Soaked.”
While 10 seconds may seem like a minor window, the mathematical implications of the Soaked debuff are catastrophic for the boss. When a target is afflicted with the Soaked aggregate, they take double damage from Electric-type attacks.
Weaponizing the Bug: The Synergy Engine
Knowing that the boss takes 200% base Electric damage for the first 10 seconds of the fight, the community quickly engineered a specialized “Nuke” party designed entirely around stacking multipliers before the timer expires.
The build does not rely on a single Pal’s raw stats, but rather a perfect chain of Party Pal Partner Skills:
Jormuntide: When placed in the party, Jormuntide’s Partner Skill passively increases the player’s and active Pal’s damage against any Soaked targets by a massive 65%.
Univolt: Univolt’s Partner Skill grants a flat 40% bonus to super-effective Electric damage.
Orserk: Provides an enormous 150% boost to the active Pal’s base Attack and Defense stats.
Celestia Noct: Grants an additional 80% Pal Attack boost.
To push the math completely over the edge, the player equips four specific endgame accessories: the Orserk Talisman, the Electric Baton, Fangler Blue’s Ring (all granting Electric Damage Enhancement Level 4), and the Dogen Emblem (granting Pal Attack Up Level 4).
With these items equipped and the party assembled, the active Electric Pal is injected with so many overlapping, multiplicative damage buffs that a single attack hits like a tactical airstrike.
The 1.0 Combat Tweak That Makes It Possible
During Early Access, a major flaw with status-effect builds was that elemental attacks applied their debuffs instantly. If a player hit a Soaked target with a massive Electric attack, the attack would instantly apply the “Electrify” status, completely overwriting and deleting the “Soaked” debuff mid-strike, thereby canceling the double-damage multiplier.
However, version 1.0 altered this mechanic.
“A little bit of a change in 1.0 here… previously, when a Pal would use something like Lightning Bolt or Thunder Rail, they would Electrify on the very first hit,” the guide explained. “Now there’s a sort of build-up there… sometimes you will find yourself using a Lightning Bolt and not get the full 15 hits, or maybe you’ll hit 10 or 12 and you won’t Electrify at all.”
Because it now takes continuous, sustained damage to trigger the Electrify status, players can unleash an active Pal’s ultimate Electric attack—specifically Thunder Rail—during the 10-second opening window. The attack deals its full, multi-hit duration, benefiting from the Soaked double-damage multiplier on every single tick, before the Electrify status ever has a chance to build up and overwrite the bug.
The Execution: From 50% to Instant Death
To prove the concept, The Pal Professor utilized a significantly under-leveled and poorly stated Pal—Snock—to execute the maneuver. Despite Snock having stats roughly equivalent to early-game creatures like Cattiva or Chikipi, a single cast of Thunder Rail within the 10-second bug window instantly vaporized 50% of the Hard Mode boss’s health bar.
When the exact same attack was used later in the fight after the 10-second Soaked bug expired, the damage output plummeted by more than half, proving the absolute reliance on the opening glitch.
But the endgame raiding community isn’t using Snock.
Elite players are deploying perfectly bred, max-condensed Electric powerhouses. By breeding an Electric Pal to feature the absolute best combat passives—specifically Eternal Flame, God of Destruction, and Twin Edge Holy Blade—players are reaching base Attack stats exceeding 14,000.
When a Pal with 14,000 Attack, buffed by Orserk, Celestia Noct, Jormuntide, and Univolt, casts Thunder Rail against a glitched, double-damage Soaked target, the boss simply ceases to exist. It is a true, undeniable one-shot kill against one of the hardest encounters in Palworld 1.0.
The Race Against the Patch
The revelation of the Auri & Shaolong bug has triggered a massive gold rush on multiplayer servers. The Hard Mode Tower Bosses are currently the premier farming location for late-game Legendary Schematics and endgame crafting materials.
Because the “Soaked Abuse” strategy removes the skill, the danger, and the time-sink from the encounter, players are repeatedly speed-farming the boss back-to-back to hoard loot.
The central question circulating the community is not if Pocketpair will patch the exploit, but when. The fact that Water Pals are fundamentally immune to being Soaked proves that Auri & Shaolong spawning with the status effect is a catastrophic coding error, likely tied to an arena loading script.
“It could still be intended by Pocketpair, but I don’t think so,” admitted The Pal Professor. “You’re not supposed to be able to do this build… Abuse it while you can.”
For now, the fastest path to endgame loot does not require dodging lasers or memorizing attack patterns. It simply requires walking into the arena, watching the water droplets appear on the boss’s health bar, and pulling the trigger before the 10-second timer runs out.
