Over the course of The Walking Dead and its multiple spinoffs, there have been many major season finales full of big surprises and shocking moments. However, according to Norman Reedus, fans haven’t seen anything yet.
After playing the fan favorite character Daryl Dixon in all eleven seasons of The Walking Dead, Reedus reprised the role for the hit spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. With Melissa McBride joining him as a co-star for Season 2, the series has been given a new title as well, now called The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. In an interview with Collider, Reedus shared his belief that there’s still more room to explore Daryl’s story in the Walking Dead universe, teasing more to come in the third season. He also teased that the Season 2 finale is the best one-hour episode that has ever been made for the franchise.
“I think it’s got some time left in it,” Reedus said. “I want that character to end correctly. It started correctly and I put too much work into it to be a drone shot waving goodbye. You know what I mean? I want him to get his justice. It still has a huge fan base. I get mobbed all the time because of that show. In France, when the posters went up, it was bananas. We’re about to start Season 3, but I will say the finale of Season 2 is the best one-hour Walking Dead anything ever. I’ve said it in press before. I stick to it. It’s mind-blowing.”

Per the official synopsis for Season2, the spinoff “picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet (Anne Charrier)’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future.”
The Walking Dead Franchise Is Still Going Strong
The Walking Dead franchise continues to live on. The second season of the spinoff, dubbed The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, debuts on Sept. 29 on AMC and AMC+.
