Reigning AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone recently opened up about her relationship with a popular singer following the latter’s recent association with WWE. Mone had teased working with the star in the past.

The megastar in question is renowned singer and rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Recently, The CEO teased working with Megan in AEW. However, Megan’s song Neva Play was recently revealed as WWE SmackDown’s theme on the premiere episode of the blue brand on the USA Network. Later, Mone apologized for the tease.

Meanwhile, Mercedes admitted that a potential future collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion was not possible due to the latter’s association with the Stamford-based promotion. In the recent edition of her Mone Mag newsletter, The CEO opened up on her relationship with the 29-year-old, revealing the latter was not her best friend.

“She’s not my best friend or anything, but if she wants to be my homegirl, absolutely [we can be that]! We only met a couple times, but she’s really awesome. I did [have my CEO hat on when I was trying to set something up]. I was trying to get her on the board. That’s exactly right!” she wrote. [H/T: Post Wrestling]
