Leonardo DiCaprio is known for his remarkable acting talent and stellar performances. The Titanic lead took Hollywood by a storm with his phenomenal performances in numerous critically acclaimed movies. However, the actor also became infamous owing to controversies that surrounded his personal life.

A popular scandal that remained attached with DiCaprio’s name was his alleged dating preference. The actor was often linked with partners who were much younger than him, most of them being either 25 or below in age. This gave him the stereotype of allegedly dating only women who were under the specific age-bracket. One scandal though has nothing to do with the actor’s dating choice, rather his professional behavior came under attack.

A disastrous hacking incident took the world of entertainment hostage, the target being one of the biggest production companies. Sony’s servers were allegedly breached by an online group called the ‘Guardians of Peace’, and they proceeded to leak a number of confidential information.

However, what shocked the viewers were the alleged emails between Sony execs, celebrities, and producers. According to Daily Beast the emails detailed several interactions between and about some of the most well-known names in Hollywood.

These leaks allegedly revealed Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and her views about the Titanic star. Pascal allegedly didn’t hold favorable view for Leonardo DiCaprio and it did not pertain to his dating scandal.

The supposed conversation between Pascal and Mark Gordon, referenced the 2015 movie Steve Jobs in which DiCaprio was approached to play the titular character. The latter refused and instead opted for The Revenant, which allegedly did not amuse Pascal.

The harsh words from the co-chairman for the Wolf of the Wall Street actor revealed a different side of the industry. Most fans were bemused on reading the content, not sure whether to believe the source or not.

The plethora of emails also allegedly exposed other celebrities and their relationship with Sony Entertainment. Some emails took shots at Willow and Jaden Smith, the children of Will Smith, even though he had a long-standing relationship with the production house.

Another star who was mentioned was Ryan Gosling, though Pascal allegedly held an admirable view of the Barbie actor. Emails pertaining to him indicated to their positive relationship and she also praised the actor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter in 2014 DiCaprio was supposed to star in Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Steve Jobs’ biopic. The Jobs Project, a book by Walter Isaacson was supposed to be translated into the big screen under the direction of Danny Boyle.

Earlier the Inception lead was linked with the biopic but later news came of his backing out from the role. This incident was referenced in the alleged leaked emails, and apparently the co-chairman was not happy with the actor’s decision.
