The Battle Rounds continued on Monday’s episode of The Voice, though producers made fans quite furious with a shocking cliffhanger.
The final battle round of the night was two singers from Gwen Stefani‘s team, Jose Luis and Austyns Stancil, who both got four-chair turns in the Blind Auditions.
Luis, 21, and Stancil, 34, were picked to sing Sam Smith‘s soulful song Lay Me Down, with both delivering incredibly strong performances.
While Gwen was let with a very tough decision, she ultimately went with Luis, but each of the remaining judges – Snoop Dogg, Michael Buble and Reba McEntire – used their steals to keep Stancil on the show.
The producers make the shocking decision to withhold Stancil’s decision until Tuesday night’s episode, which brought the ire of fans on social media.

@tyeishashaw revealed, ‘AUSTYN CHOOSE REBA, we need you,’ while @ElbatheOne only said, ‘#TheVoice Cliffhanger…’
While it won’t be known who Austyn picks until Tuesday, Gwen revealed that she picked Jose Luis because of his emotion and range.
‘It was such a tough decision, but I had to go with Jose. His dynamics, his emotion, his voice has so much range. I just wanted to see more of what he could do,’ Gwen said.
The Battle Rounds began with Danny Joseph and Deon Jones from Team Reba singing James Brown’s It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World.
Deon cried during a confessional while talking about his late grandmother while Reba was impressed with both singers in rehearsals, saying she got ‘chills.’
Reba and the other judges were impressed, with Reba picking Danny as the winner, because, ‘he’s so different,’ before Gwen stole Deon at the last possible second.
Next up was Brad Sample and Jake Tankersley from Team Snoop, who sing Stuck on You by Lionel Richie, a song that surprisingly neither of the country singers have heard of despite both being in their 30s.
They both delivered a soulful performance as Gwen apologized to Jake for blocking Reba during the Blind Auditions.

Snoop picks Jake as winner, and since Brad was not stolen, he will be heading home, as Michael insisted Snoop made the right choice.
Cozy Len and Felsmere were up next from Team Gwen, singing Summer Breeze by Seals and Crofts.
Felsmere got eliminated in the Battle Rounds way back in Season 1 and stayed in LA before returning to The Voice this season, while Len says the song is special because they say his wife’s name Jasmine many times.
While both singers performed admirably, Gwen picked Felsmere, earning her redemption from Season 1, while Cozy Len was not stolen.
Shye and Jamison Puckett performed next from Team Buble, singing Love Yourself by Justin Bieber, a song both can relate to.
The 17-year-old Shye said that musical theater helped with her confidence while Puckett was expecting his first child.
Buble ultimately picks Shye and says she has a ‘ton of a potential,’ even comparing her to Adele, while Jamison is not stolen.

Lauren Michael Sellers and Creigh Riepe from Team Reba sang You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen
Both of their performances were so good in rehearsal that Reba got emotional, telling the duo, ‘it really got my heart.’
Reba picks Lauren Michael as winner, says she chose her because, ‘I liked everything about her,’ though Creigh is not stolen.
The Voice returns with the fourth installment of the Battle Rounds on Tuesday, October 29 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
