With four UK arena performances on the horizon, Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming shows still have numerous available seats just over a week away from the start date.
Fans in the UK are thrilled with the selection of locations the “Sweestest Pie” rapper has included in her tour such as Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, London’s The O2 Arena, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, and Europe’s largest indoor music venue, the Co-Op Live in Manchester. However, recent reports indicate that tickets for the Hot Girl Summer tour are experiencing lower-than-expected demand, as all shows scheduled for Megan’s UK tour still have countless tickets available.
A source who spoke to The Sun said, “It is fair to say that demand for Megan’s Hot Girl Summer tour hasn’t been as high as had hoped.”
“Fans have already begun to notice that thousands of tickets are still available for the UK run even with just over a week until the first gig,” they continued.
“It is especially embarrassing for Megan and her team given that her rival Nicki Minaj played the exact same venues last month with each selling out including having a full house for the Manchester venue not once but twice.”
The Co-Op Live is ready for Megan’s upcoming concert on July 5 with its massive capacity of 23,500. However, ticket sales have not reached expectations, as there are still many available seats just over a week before the show.
Reports from ticket-selling platforms indicate that some sections at the newly opened Manchester venue have yet to see a single ticket sold.
Megan’s rival Nicki is making history with her record-breaking Pink Friday 2 Tour, hailed as the most successful and top-selling female rap tour to date.
This groundbreaking tour has soared to claim the sixth spot among the all-time highest-grossing rapper tours, having amassed a staggering $81 million from just 45 initial performances.
However, despite an initial surge of excitement in the US when announcing her return to the stage, the “Super Bass” rapper is now facing challenges with ticket sales for the next leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour which will start in September.
The Daily Mail reported that numerous seats remain unclaimed just months before the tour begins, signaling a potential struggle to fill the venues.
The tour started in March 2024 and after some performances in different states, it raked in an impressive $34 million.
The outlet reported a significant number of tickets remain available for purchase. Analysis of the seating arrangements for the tour’s kickoff in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 4 reveals that no area of the venue has reached full capacity.
