Ever since we binge-watched Adam Brody and Kristen Bell in the new Netflix romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This, we’ve been left wanting more. And we’re not the only ones who loved watching the relationship between “hot Rabbi” Noah (Brody) and sex & relationships podcaster Joanne (Bell) unfold.
Soon after its launch, Erin Foster’s semi-autobiographical series swiftly claimed the number one spot Netflix’s English TV List with 15.9 million views in its second week on the streaming service.
So, the question we’re all asking is – will the hit series be returning for a second season?
Will there be a Nobody Wants This season 2?
At the moment, there’s no word from Netflix on whether Brody and Bell’s hugely popular rom-com will be coming back for more episodes. However, in more positive news, Foster, the show’s creator, has shared that she’s keen for it to continue.
“I would love to do a Season 2; Kristen and Adam would love to do a Season 2,” Foster said in an interview with The Wrap. “There’s so much more story to tell so if people like the show, then I would be really excited to keep telling it.”
In an earlier interview with IndieWire, the outlook was similarly promising. “We’re getting a really positive response,” Foster explained. “And so I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season 2.”
Nobody Wants This season 2: Plot
Following the romantic cliffhanger ending of season one, which saw Noah and Joanna decide to continue their relationship despite any opposition and lingering questions over whether Joanne will ultimately convert to Judaism, it’s likely that season two could pick up their story shortly afterwards.
After all, with the ongoing drama surrounding their relationship, there’s plenty more to be explored in potential new episodes. What will happen next for the couple? Only time will tell…
Talking about the potential season two plot, Foster added to IndieWire: “The story in Season 1 unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season 2 I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!”
Wait, does that mean a series three could also be on the cards? Yes, please.

Nobody Wants This season two: Cast
As well as Brody and Bell’s Noah and Joanne, if Nobody Wants This does return, it’s likely that the show’s other much-loved duo – the “loser siblings” Morgan and Sasha, played by Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons – will also come back for series two, as well as the wider cast who play Noah and Joanne’s friends and families.
Nobody Wants This season two: Release date
At the time of writing, Netlix has yet to confirm whether a second series of Nobody Wants This will be happening but watch this space for more updates and a likely release date if the show does get the go-ahead.
Come on Netflix, absolutely everybody wants this!
