Apparently, the leader was not the only one who entered the games of his own free will.
Min Su: Just Another Player, or a VIP in Disguise?
A popular theory making waves online suggests that Min Su from the Squid Game series might not be just another desperate contestant but rather one of the VIPs infiltrating the deadly games. In case you need a refresher, the VIPs are those filthy-rich elites who watch and bet on the contestants’ fates from the comfort of their lavish suites, treating human suffering as the ultimate spectator sport.
This theory isn’t as far-fetched as it sounds. In Season 1, it was hinted that some VIPs might want to join the games themselves, seeking the thrill of risking their own lives. Could Min Su be one of these masked millionaires, looking to get their adrenaline fix firsthand?
Where Did This Squid Game Theory Come From?
It all started with a small but curious detail in Google’s cast credits that got fans buzzing about a possible connection between Min Su and the VIPs. On top of that, some of Min Su’s behavior throughout the season has raised eyebrows, with viewers suspecting there’s more to this character than meets the eye.
But not everyone’s buying this Squid Game theory. A major flaw in this theory is that the actors playing Min Su and VIP 3 are reportedly different people. Min Su is portrayed by South Korean superstar Lee Byung-hun, while VIP 3 is played by Lee David. The similar names caused confusion, but the casting distinction seems to debunk the idea that they’re the same character.
As of now, there’s no hard evidence to confirm this theory. Still, the idea of a VIP infiltrating the games adds a juicy twist to the Squid Game narrative and sets the stage for some seriously wild storylines in the future.
With Season 3 still under wraps, all we can do is wait to find out if Min Su is really hiding a dark, sinister secret—or if this is just another case of fans’ imaginations running wild. What do you think? Could Min Su actually be a VIP undercover?
