The Green Bay Packers have taken a significant knock, as their starting quarterback may have suffered a more serious injury than anticipated. Jordan Love has been out for quite a while, and we all know how vital he is to the team. His return to the game is much-needed, but it appears that supporters will be even more disappointed with the current information regarding his condition.
According to fresh sources, the quarterback sustained an MCL injury, which can take a long time to recover. Further testing will be performed to determine how much time Jordan Love will need to heal properly. So far, we only know that the quarterback will not miss the whole NFL season, with a strong possibility of returning towards the end. Not only that, but the Green Bay Packers will have to cope with this unexpected news with a backup quarterback who will lead the team for now.
The report stated, “Packers QB Jordan Love is believed to have injured his MCL, pending further testing. It is not expected to be a season-ending injury, but he is expected to miss some time.”
Following this significant update, the Green Bay Packers will be searching for a fresh plan with Malik Willis, their backup quarterback.
Jordan Love’s injury puts more strain on Matt LaFleur
Matt LaFleur, the head coach, will be pretty stressed out for the next several days. It can be arguably said that Jordan Love is indeed his most important player and this injury is pretty bad for the team. We all know how Malik Willis labored in the waning stages of the game against the Eagles but it was not enough. The game did not go as planned for the Packers, and they lost a game they might have easily won.
Matt LaFleur and offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich will collaborate to devise a new strategy for the team’s future. It is well known that the Packers will have the home-field advantage in their next game, but they still need to work things out. Their next game will be against the Indianapolis Colts on September 15th. It will be fascinating to observe how the squad changes their attacking strategies for this upcoming game.
What are your opinions about the quarterback’s injury? Do you believe he’ll be back till the Super Bowl?
