When the pair appeared together for an interview, Goldberg simply channeled her true and honest inner self that had her touching on whichever subject she wanted, even if it could leave the other person freaked out. This is why, when she exposed one of her deepest secrets to Reeves during the same, he couldn’t help but hold a hilariously scared reaction to her revelation.

The 69-year-old actress cum comedian cum author cum television personality most certainly knows how to leave an impression, for she once left even Keanu Reeves, who is notably only nine years younger than her, speechless at her candidness. This happened a few years ago when the pair graced The Graham Norton Show with their presence.

During that appearance, Whoopi Goldberg was busy discussing her then-new stand-up gig in London, where she dealt with aging as a part of the process (more on this later). And while she talked about that, she also wound up confessing one of her deepest secrets to the John Wick actor when he curiously asked what she meant by the “balding pudenda.”
This topic came up when Graham Norton asked her to shed some light on the “mysterious hair loss” that women experience with their “pubic hair” due to the aging process. So when a curious Reeves asked for more details about it, Goldberg didn’t hesitate to spill the beans. But even before she started, the actor was already scared as he said,
Oh wait, do I wanna know what this is? Let’s hear it. I’m really scared!
As she started out in a story-telling manner what it really meant, The Matrix actor was seen holding his hands up in a hilarious manner as he braced himself for what was to come. But as comical as this situation was, it didn’t stop the Sister Act star from sharing the story. She said (via YouTube):

While Goldberg, on the one hand, seemed to be enjoying herself as she explained to Reeves what this “balding pudenda” meant, the actor, on the other hand, was seen visibly mortified he even asked about it. Well, guess that’s a lesson he’ll remember for the rest of his life: Think twice before asking Whoopi Goldberg about anything, no matter how curious you may be!

Continuing during the same interview, the Ghost star also talked about her stand-up gig in London, emphasizing that a part of it helped her deal with and come to terms with the aging process. Chuckling, she explained that it’s actually about “what happens when you don’t realize that you have gotten older.” Backing this up with a story, she said:
I’ll tell you, I went to a Steely Dan concert recently. And I was looking around, and I was like, ‘Damn, these are some old people at this concert!’ It’s all these old hippies and stuff. I’m like, ‘Hey! God. Damn, do they know how old those people-’ and then I passed the mirror [bursts out laughing], I was like, ‘Oh, sh-t!!! Me too!’
Well, as hard of a realization as that may have been, it still brought Goldberg to a really important epiphany as she admitted, “So, it’s about waking up and realizing you’re not the youngest thing in the room anymore, but all the things that entails.” But, all of this being said, one thing’s for sure: Whoopi Goldberg actually proves how true the Old is Gold phrase is!
