The Los Angeles Rams’ visit to Arizona in their week 2 encounter couldn’t have gone worse as they trail the game 31-3 in the third quarter. With a comeback seemingly impossible, they have lost yet another player to an injury after losing rookie sensation Puka Nacua last week. This time, it’s star receiver Cooper Kupp who gets added to the injury list that is threatening to derail the Rams’ season in September itself.
Looking back at the incident, Kupp was seen hobbling off the field in the first half. But did manage to get back in action as the second half unfolded in Arizona. However, his stay was short-lived as Kupp went back in to receive treatment while the game against the Cardinals almost wrapped up in the favor of the home team.
For those who didn’t catch the incident live, Kupp got injured in the second quarter when two Cardinals players mauled him trying to get a reception. Although he tried to shake it off, the injury was too much for the Rams WR to handle as he left the action and didn’t come back out.
With the extent of his injury unknown, this would be a huge blow for the Rams, as they were already short in the WR room going into the clash against the Cardinals. On the opening night of the regular season, the Rams received a massive setback when they lost Nacua to a knee injury that might keep him out of action for a month.
Having lost two of their star pass rushers in consecutive weeks to seemingly lengthy injuries. The Rams may have found themselves in a difficult position while they try to get through a mounting injury list.
