TYREEK Hill is hoping a former NFL star isn’t joining his team after the Dolphins’ quarterback went down with an injury.

Reports surfaced of former MVP Cam Newton making an appearance at Dolphins practice.

The Dolphins currently have a quarterback problem with Tua Tagovailoa hitting the injured list.

Tua suffered another concussion, forcing him to get on injured reserve and he will miss at least four weeks.

Backup quarterback Skylar Thompson will take over at the helm in the meantime, but he hasn’t proven himself to be the best option.

He only has two games started under his belt in his career, passing for 614 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

The Dolphins signed former Ravens backup Tyler Huntley to backup Thompson until Tua potentially returns.

Huntley has more starting experience in his career, passing for 1957 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Huntley also has rushing upside, running for 509 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite having Huntley and Thompson on the roster, that might not be enough help for the Dolphins.

Cam Newton was reportedly spotted at Miami Dolphins practice, but the nature of the visit was unclear.

Whether or not he was there for a potential job, Tyreek Hill made it known that he doesn’t want him around.

“This team all ready has too many kids,” Hill wrote on X.

Newton was formerly one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, winning the MVP in 2015.

He has 32,382 passing yards with 194 touchdowns in his career, and 5,628 rushing yards with 75 touchdowns.

While he used to be one of the greats, Newton is now 35 years old and well past his prime, and likely wouldn’t be a great option for the Dolphins. He also hasn’t played in the NFL since 2021.

Dolphins fans were quick to share on social media that they didn’t want to see Newton make a comeback with the team.
