The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a make-or-break season when it comes to the future of the coaching staff. If there is no progression for Tampa Bay under Todd Bowles, then he will be fired. The ideal head coach is Tom Brady.

The Buccaneers are in a state where they need to take advantage of the NFC South while they can, as they have the roster to win the division for years to come. Yet, they are being capped by the inability of Bowles to get the most out of the talent on the team. This isn’t the first time this has happened with Bowles, as when he coached the New York Jets, they went 24-40 over four seasons. For the Buccaneers to have a full revamp in culture, they need a coach to bring emotion out of the players, and that fits the mold of Brady.

After spending 23 years in the NFL, he knows football and has been surrounded by the game for years. Brady played like a coach on the field already with how he diagnosed defenses and broke the game down. While he did just sign a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX to broadcast, the love for being on the field and impacting the game could very well overpower his future as a broadcaster.

While Brady certainly spent more of his career on the New England Patriots, he did spend the final three on the Buccaneers. One of which he led the Buccaneers to win a Super Bowl, and overall led them to a 32-18 record and threw for 14,643 yards and 108 touchdowns. Brady winning the Super Bowl with the Buccaneers would help bridge a tie to the team and would help bring him back to bring the Buccaneers back to a successful level. Not to mention, retiring from the NFL after a losing season going 8-9 would leave a bad taste in Brady’s mouth and leave him wanting to settle the unfinished business.

With the Buccaneers in a state where they will most likely need a new head coach after the season, it’s Brady who makes the ideal replacement. For Brady, it’s the Buccaneers that are the ideal team for him to start coaching on.
