Brady will begin his 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with Fox Sports this weekend.

He’ll be replacing Greg Olsen and be alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt for the 2024-25 season.

Brady was interviewed by Fox NFL Sunday’s Curt Menefee as the New England Patriots icon opened up on what he wants fans to see in his debut.

“How do I understand the mechanics of broadcasting and network television?” Brady said in a short clip posted by Menefee on X.

“As I’ve kind of worked my way through that process, it has come back to just be myself.

“To clearly see what I see on the field.

“And then what people hopefully will see is my love of the game.”

Brady then spoke about getting to know his colleague Burkhardt.

“Kevin is a great partner. We’ve done a lot of rehearsals. We’ve laughed a lot. I think a lot of it is reliance on him along with everyone else on the crew,” Brady said.

“I want to get up every day and try to prove to them, ‘Hey guys I know I’m the rookie but I got your back too and I’m going to give you guys everything I got.

“It’s never going to go perfect just like when I was a player but I’m going to give everyone the best I got.”

Brady spent the 2023 NFL season preparing for his new Fox Sports role.

He and Burkhardt called 17 games last season as practice for their debut as a broadcasting duo, per Front Office Sports/ Michael McCarthy.

Menefee brought up that Brady’s first Super Bowl victory came in New Orleans – the same place in which this year’s big game will occur.

Since Fox will be broadcasting this year’s Super Bowl, Brady and Burkhardt will be on the call.

Brady shared what it means to be a part of next February’s Super Bowl knowing his history.

“As I look forward to the second part of my career, I think back and reflect on this long football journey and realize that Fox Sports covered Super Bowl 36 and the legendary Pat Sumerall and John Madden (were) on the call.

Due to Brady’s bid to own a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, the former three-time MVP will have limited access to teams during his broadcasting career.

That means he cannot attend “in-person or online broadcast production meetings” or access team facilities, players or coaches,” per the AP’s Mark Anderson and Rob Maaddi.

Brady can still speak with coaches and players on the phone and obtain information from his partners, per The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand.
