The Voice’s Sloane Simon leaves Michael Buble in tears with emotional performance days after father’s death

Michael Bublé was moved to tears by his team member Sloane Simon on Tuesday’s Playoff episode of The Voice on NBC.

Simon, a 19-year-old singer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, sang Chappell Roan’s hit Good Luck, Babe.

When she and Bublé were seen picking out the song, she mentioned that her father, who was battling cancer, in poor shape and had been told he had little time to live.

But after her triumphant performance, her coach revealed her father had died just days earlier.

Bublé’s eyes filled with tears as he praised the rising star, while fellow coach Snoop Dogg — who recently teamed up with Simone Biles — got up to give her a hug.

Earlier, Bublé said he chose that song because he loved Chappell Roan. She shared she was going through a tough time because her father was sick and might only have a short while to live.

‘Sunday,’ Sloane said.

‘You said that you would stay because he would want you to be here,’ Bublé said.

‘My dad told me I was crazy to turn back, so I’m here and I sang for him,’ Sloane said as she tried to keep her emotions in check.
