But with his NFL career coming to an end, Kelce has his eyes on becoming an international movie star.
The U.S. Sun revealed this week that a member of the Kelce camp went to the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
And talks have taken place with movie bosses from countries all over the world.
“Travis’ reputation is beyond the U.S borders, he is a rising celebrity star internationally too,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
“Travis is in total love, obsessed with the movie industry.
“He wants to explore everything about it, not put any boundaries on it and try to get into foreign movies too if possible.
“It was very important for Travis to send someone to Venice for a few days to get a better idea of what the international movie industry looks like.
“He got approached by many people working in the movie and TV industry from countries outside of the USA – England, Germany, Italy but also Japan, South Korea, Singapore and China.
“Some Asian producers already talked about some big action movie productions where he could have a role.”
The U.S. Sun recently revealed that Kelce plans to move into acting full time after his NFL career ends.
He was cast in new horror series Grotesquerie this year and been spotted filming.
Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.
Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.
Adam Sandler also confirmed that Kelce will feature in the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.
Travis Kelce The Actor
NFL star Travis Kelce recently landed his first major acting role and has a new cameo
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end plans to become a “heavyweight” figure in music and entertainment.
Kelce has seen his star power rise after going public with his girlfriend Taylor Swift last summer.
The 34-year-old has now been cast in the new horror series Grotesquerie.
Directed by American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, the drama is set to land on FX this fall.
Kelce will appear in the show alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.
In August, Adam Sandler confirmed Travis will make a cameo in his upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.
The news comes after Travis previously showed interest in appearing in a possible reboot.
The Venice Film Festival took place between August 28 and September 7 this year.
Kelce was preparing for the NFL season and played in the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
The source added, “It is one of the biggest movie festivals in the world and, as Travis couldn’t make it, there was someone to his team there for a couple of days to network with people from the movie industry.
“His reputation is growing fast and he is getting a lot of approaches and offers already.
“He loves action movies, and to see interest from some big Asian movie companies and producers is great.
“They see him as one of the potential next big things as an actor and can get big audiences in America having one of the biggest celebrities in their movies.”
