LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reba McEntire, who recently convinced her boyfriend Rex Linn to trim his beard for a new role in her sitcom, has reportedly found herself with a partner who dotes on her with unwavering loyalty and affection.

Sources close to Linn have described him as a “puppy dog” boyfriend who follows McEntire around, always eager to stay close to her, and is “turning into the most henpecked guy in showbiz,” Radar Online reported. While some may see this dynamic in a playful light, others are curious about how their affectionate bond plays out in the spotlight.

 

Rex Linn is ‘very proud’ to be Reba McEntire’s partner

Rex Linn and Reba McEntire first met in 1991 when they were filming ‘The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw’. After reconnecting in January 2020, they began dating in June of that year and have been inseparable ever since.

According to sources, McEntire and Linn’s relationship has become a hot topic in Hollywood, with many in the industry rolling their eyes and whispering about the most “henpecked” guy in showbiz.

The source described how the couple adores each other, with Linn happily jumping to Reba’s every command.

“People tease him and he doesn’t care because he’s so happy. But everything revolves around Reba to such a degree that people joke he has to ask permission to go run an errand. It’s frustrating for the people who barely hear from him anymore,” the insider added.

Despite the playful teasing, Linn is reportedly proud to be by McEntire’s side. “Rex wouldn’t have it any other way. He adores Reba, and the feeling is mutual. He posts about her constantly on his Instagram, while she rarely shares about him, but he doesn’t mind at all—he just loves to gush over her. He’s very proud to be her partner!”

Currently, the couple is strengthening their bond, with Linn taking on a supporting role in McEntire’s new NBC sitcom, ‘Happy Place’, which premiered on October 18.

Reba McEntire was previously married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987, and then to Narvel Blackstock from 1989 to 2015. She also dated Anthony Skeeter Uzzo from 2017 to 2019. After the death of her mother, she reconnected with Rex Linn, and the two grew closer during the quarantine.

 

In October 2023, McEntire opened up to People about her relationship with Linn, saying, “I love Rex with all my heart.” Describing him as “a very supportive man,” she added, “Rex meets me at the garage when I get out of the car. He’ll fix me a drink if I need it. He’ll sit there and talk to me because I’ve talked my head off all day long so he knows I just need to relax and chill.”

 

In February 2024, McEntire reflected on their relationship, saying, “Every day is Valentine’s Day for us. We’re just silly, goofy people in our 60s that love life [and] love each other. We have fun. We’re dorky, goofy, and we have similar interests in just about everything, so it’s just fun all the time.”
