“As my good friend Ric Flair would say, if you want to be the best you gotta beat the best.” Jim Harbaugh and his team moved forward with this motto to win over Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs. However, the Los Angeles Chargers fell to 17-10 in Week 4 on September 29, as Patrick Mahomes and the team rallied from an early 10-point deficit to defeat the home team. Although it was a road game for Mahomes, his wife and brother still showed their support by twinning in Sunday’s matchup.
It was a red day! Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, recently shared her new look from the game on her official Instagram account. She could be seen wearing a red tee and black leather bottoms, paired with a special “Mahomes 15” hat and white ‘Mahomes’ sneakers. Besides that, the pregnant momma kept her jewelry minimal by just wearing bracelets on her both wrists. In one snap, Brittany Mahomes also could be seen with the man of the hour, her husband, as she dropped “15” and a red heart emoji in her caption.
Furthermore, Brittany took to her Instagram story, sharing a cute snap of her and the quarterback’s hugging moment post-game. She wrote, “Another Win, always proud of you 15.” In addition to Brittany’s support, her brother-in-law Jackson Mahomes also attended the Chargers game at SoFi Stadium. Twinning with Brittany, Patrick Mahomes’ brother too wore a red tee, but his t-shirt was a bit different. Different in a way because his t-shirt had Chiefs and its logo printed on it.
Moreover, Jackson too wore black bottoms and the customized team’s hat for the occasion. And kept his caption on IG simple, by writing, “#chiefs.” Jackson and Brittany Mahomes’ twinning support helped Patrick Mahomes achieve his fourth win in the 2024 season.
And now, as per the NFL record, Mahomes has nine wins over the Chargers in his 11 games against the team. Not only these but there were a couple of more historic moments for Mahomes and the Chiefs in Sunday’s matchup.
The win on Chargers brought laurels for Patrick Mahomes and the team!
Patrick Mahomes just keeps finding ways to win. This game was special for him as he marked his 100th regular-season start. And guess what? Honoring himself with a win on this special occasion, Mahomes threw for 245 yards and a touchdown, leading the team to a 17-10 victory over LA.
However, the road to victory wasn’t that easy for them, as the Chiefs were down by 10 early. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop Mahomes and his favorite target, Travis Kelce, as they reunited once again after previous games to show their power in the matchup. Hence, it was a momentous occasion, for the tight end too. This was because Kelce, who caught seven passes for 89 yards, made history by surpassing Tony Gonzalez as the franchise’s all-time leader in receptions.

And guess what? With this win, Kansas City is now 4-0 for the first time since 2020. In addition to that, this marks their sixth straight win over the Chargers. Furthermore, via AP’s Joe Reedy, the Chiefs “also has 11 straight road victories over its AFC West rival, the longest active winning streak by a visiting squad and tied for third all-time.”
This proves why the Chiefs are currently considered as one of the best teams in the league.
