THE Philadelphia Eagles have been predicted to drop a former Pro Bowler off their roster.

The 2-2 Eagles don’t have much time to deal the veteran linebacker Devin White with the NFL trade deadline approaching.

Philadelphia are on the bye week as they have 12 days until they take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.

The Eagles have been speculated to make a change at head coach, but it’s unlikely they will part ways with Nick Sirianni this early in the season.

But there is a possibility that the squad will move on from the linebacker White, who has yet to play in a game this season.

Fansided’s Geoffrey Knox believes the Philadelphia team could “cut their losses” and either trade or cut him.

“It’s almost unfathomable that someone could fall so far and do so as swiftly and unexpectedly,” Knox wrote.

“Devin White has known two teams during his NFL career, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

“Those teams met on the field to battle in a football game this past Sunday.

“Things didn’t go well for Philly. Somewhere along the line, he may have also forgotten which team pays him.

“Instead of cheering his current team on via social media, he was busy on Sunday reposting a tweet about Lavonte David’s forced fumble.

Knox referenced that White reposted a tweet about his former Bucs teammate Lavonte David’s forced fumble against his own team.

Fox NFL reporter Greg Auman informed his X followers that White unretweeted the tweet, which caused the Eagles player to respond.

“I only meant to [like] it. That’s my twin 4Life “its in my favorites,” he replied.

White was signed to be Philly’s starting linebacker, but he didn’t play in Weeks 1 and 2 due to an ankle injury.

He was then listed as a healthy scratch in Week 3.

White played his first five seasons with Tampa Bay.

The former first-round pick made the NFL’s All-Rookie team and received a Pro Bowl nod in 2021 – the same year he won a Super Bowl with the franchise.

Last season, White played in 13 games and recorded 83 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

He dealt with foot and groin injuries throughout that campaign.

It’ll be worth monitoring if the Eagles utilize White in the near future.
