Sounds like Kate Cassidy is going to be returning to a far more humble way of living in the wake of Liam Payne’s death.
After the late One Direction singer’s funeral in Amersham, Buckinghamshire last month, his grieving girlfriend has returned to the US once again. But not to the luxury rental she and Liam moved into together in Wellington, Florida just weeks before his death. She won’t be able to afford it!
On Thursday, insiders told Page Six Liam was providing Kate with a whopping $10,000 per month for living expenses. He also reportedly allowed her to rack up his credit card on shopping trips and other extravagant expenses with his stylist and friend Adele Cany, which often totaled an additional $25,000 in a given month. Together, that’s $35,000 a MONTH!
Damn. That’s luxury. But in the wake of Liam’s devastating passing, Kate will have to return to a more frugal way of living — because she simply can’t afford the lifestyle she’s grown accustomed to. A close friend told the outlet:
“Kate has money of her own, so it’s not like she’ll have nowhere to be. She doesn’t have the money that Liam had, of course, but she’s not broke. She makes money through social media partnerships. She won’t be living the same lifestyle she was living with Liam, but she’s going to be OK.”
TMZ reported that the sprawling five-bedroom rental she and Liam moved into together in Florida went back up on the market almost immediately in late October — for $9,950 per month! Wow. No wonder she moved out before paying another month.
But Kate wasn’t in it for the money, and she won’t be attempting to lay any claim to Liam’s estate. The source made clear:
“She says she’s not going to claim anything from his estate because they weren’t married and he has a son. It’s not hers to claim.”
As we know, Bear, 7, the son Liam shared with ex Cheryl Cole, is going to get everything — and he’ll be set up for life thanks to his dad. We’re glad to hear Kate is keeping him in mind!
The source continued:
“Of course, [Payne’s death causes] a financial setback, but her sadness has nothing to do with the money — she’s sad that she lost Liam. The money doesn’t matter in comparison. But she’ll have to move and regroup, and she’ll find a new place to live as she heals.”
