Keanu Reeves is one of the few truly unproblematic celebrities, as far as we know. A few years ago, he was praised because he started dating artist Alexandra Grant, 50, who the media considered “age appropriate.” The couple maintain a relatively quiet life together, and have only made occasional appearances at things like award shows or other events since they started dating in 2019.

In the past, they have both opened up about their relationship, giving us glimpses into what it’s like for them. Recently, Alexandra opened up a bit more, explaining how she and Keanu share their creative lives.

She gushed a little about Keanu on the red carpet.

“He’s such an inspiration to me,” Alexandra told People. “He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard.”

She also shared that “storytelling is at the heart” of both her work as an artist and Keanu’s work as an actor and musician.

They both thrive on creativity.

“What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we’re pushing each other to build new roads,” she said. “Seeing the other person’s problem-solving is inspiring, like, ‘Oh, well, okay, this one, that’s a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?'”

Keanu has made her life better in all the ways.

Alexandra also revealed that her relationship with Keanu has “absolutely” changed her art.

“I had a studio visit a few years ago, and this very kind, very high-level person said, ‘I can see that your work has gotten happier,’” she shared. “We’re expressing from where we are and certainly feeling happier. I think the work is happier.”

Keanu is also a total rock star.

Thanks to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Keanu has had more time to work with his band Dogstar, which reunited this year after 20 years apart. Alexandra sounds like the ultimate rock star girlfriend, showing up to support Keanu as the band hit the road together.

“I was dancing to all the lyrics and then I looked around and I was like, ‘Nobody has heard the album except for me and a few people.’ It’s been a real pleasure to see the guys come back together, to be so creative and supportive of one another,” she said.
