People keep asking if he’s back, and yeah–we’re thinking he is. John Wick tells the now-legendary story of the retired assassin’s (Keanu Reeves) quest for vengeance after thugs steal his car and then kill his puppy, triggering the furious reemergence of the world’s deadliest and most-feared hitman. John Wick solidified Keanu Reeves’ reputation as an action superstar while also beginning a mega successful franchise of three sequels and a prequel television series. The film also spawned popular video games and comic books. John Wick is directed by stuntman / action filmmaker Chad Stahelski, who made his feature directorial debut with this film after years of work as a stunt coordinator / fight choreographer in Hollywood. The screenplay is written by Derek Kolstad. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, David Leitch, Eva Longoria, Michael Witherill. The original John Wick first opened in theaters in October 2014 and it earned a modest $43M at the box office (there were also a few other re-releases after). Lionsgate will re-release this first movie in theaters against on November 3rd & 6th, 2024 this fall. For more info + tickets, visit Fathom Events’ website. Who’s in?
