Is it true that Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Bublé is dating Filipino actress Kristine Hermosa ?

This is the question asked by netizens after The Voice USA Season 26 grand winner Sofronio Vasquez revealed that Michael had flirted with a Filipina, which is why his love for the Philippines is just that.

Michael was Sofronio’s coach on The Voice USA, where he was crowned the first Filipino and Asian winner of the prestigious singing competition on television.

Because of Sofronio’s win, he is now doing interviews and TV appearances left and right, including on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

This Thursday, December 12, the It’s Showtime hosts spoke with Sofronio, via video call, to personally congratulate him and tell him about his experience on The Voice USA .

It’s Showtime was a big part of Sofronio’s singing career because of its segment “Tawag ng Tanghalan ( TNT),” the noontime show’s singing contest, where he participated three times but failed to take home the championship.

Sofronio told It’s Showtime about the beginning of his audition for The Voice USA.

Looking back, he said: “I started with blind auditions trying to represent myself and, of course, I just tried to represent Utaca, New York.

“But I’m lucky because the producers of the show suggested that it would be better if I represented the Philippines, because they haven’t had a Filipino-blooded and full-born and raised yet.”

“So, I continued with that, and we slowly worked on it.”

It was a big deal for Sofronio to choose Michael as his coach on The Voice USA .

Aside from being his coaches, they also agree on several things, such as their love for the Philippines.
