PEYTON Manning had some words of advice for Bill Belichick early in his Monday Night Football debut.
The former New England Patriots boss, 72, made his first appearance on the ManningCast during the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 1 game against the New York Jets.

The alternative broadcast of every ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast is hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning – both two-time Super Bowl champions.
Early in the show, Peyton told Belichick, “When in doubt, make fun of Eli alright? Does that work for you?”
But as it turned out this didn’t work for the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach.
“No not at all. I’m not making fun of Eli,” Belichick responded.
“I’m not throwing any stones at him, cause he’ll toss some boulders back at me.”
This was presumably down to the fact that Eli led the New York Giants to two Super Bowl titles against Belichick’s Patriots.
This included the 2007 Patriots who had gone undefeated prior to Super Bowl XLII.
“Eli, can we have a peace treaty?” Belichick later proposed.
“Peace coach, we’ve got total peace,” Eli replied, prompting Belichick to throw up a peace sign.
Eli then added that all of his jokes would be directed at Peyton.
“That was awesome,” one viewer said in response to the exchange on X.
“Peyton’s masterplan is ruined,” joked a second.
“Love it!” added another.
While a fourth responded, “You love to see it. Belichick has always been good in front of the camera, if only because of the wealth of knowledge he brings with him.
‘Bill Belichick is a hypocrite’
Bill Belichick has been labeled a hypocrite for taking up a career in media.
The former New England Patriots coach will work for ESPN and The CW’s Inside the NFL.
But Andrew Perloff, who co-hosts The Maggie and Perloff Show on Sirius XM, took exception.
“Networks have to stop hiring Bill Belichick,” Perloff said.
“Someone who openly mocked the media for two decades as head coach of the New England Patriots shouldn’t be able to walk right in and get multiple media jobs.
“He never said anything useful as an NFL coach and now he’s going to get paid talk?
“As brilliant as Belichick is, find someone else.”
“But he really seems to be enjoying himself these days which is great.”
Along with his role on the ManningCast every week this season, Belichick also has numerous other roles in the media to keep him occupied in his first NFL season without a coaching role since 1974.
Belichick and Peyton are also working together as the co-hosts of The Breakdown on ESPN+
Meanwhile, Belichick is also slated to make an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show every Monday, while also working as an analyst on The CW’s Inside The NFL.
Belichick has also turned to the world of podcasting, joining former NFL general manager Mike Lombardi and former head coach Matt Patricia as the hosts of Coach With Bill Belichick.
Along with this, Belichick is also the co-host of the Let’s Go! podcast together with Jim Gray and Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby.
What’s more, Belichick is also a strategic advisor for The 33rd Team and also has an online show with Underdog Fantasy.
