TOM Brady was given a chance to banish his Week 1 demons in the Fox NFL broadcast booth.
Former quarterback Brady was left hanging by Mike Pereira in an awkward interaction during his debut.

Brady called the Dallas Cowboys’ win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 alongside Fox play-by-play caller Kevin Burkhardt.
The duo were joined in the booth by rules analyst Mike Pereira.
Brady leaned into Pereira for a fist bump but was awkwardly left hanging.
But this week, Burkhardt ensured the interaction between his co-workers went smoothly.
Pereira was replaced in the booth by Dean Blandino.
Burkhardt welcomed viewers inside the broadcast booth during Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys.
And he set up an interaction between Brady and rules analyst Blandino.
Brady leaned in for a fist bump again, like he did with Pereira.
And this time his prayers were answered and he wasn’t left hanging on live TV.
“I’m not going to leave you hanging,” Blandino said. “Tom, I got you.”
Burkhardt briefly recalled what happened last week for viewers.
He said, “Mike was just staring straight ahead as Tom put his fist out there, he just completely ignored.”
Brady defended Pereira with a smile on his face.
“He’s just old school Mike, he does it his way,” the former quarterback said.
Before the game, Brady appeared on Fox NFL Sunday and discussed the New England Patriots.
The Tom Brady domino effect
Tom Brady will take his seat in Fox’s top NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.
And his arrival at the network has set off a domino effect with every other announcer moving down one spot.
That means Fox’s NFL coverage in 2024 will feature entirely new broadcast pairings.
Greg Olsen, who previously worked alongside Burkhardt, will now be part of the No. 2 announce team with Joe Davis.
The other Fox pairings for 2024 are:
Adam Amin-Mark Sanchez
Kenny Albert-Jon Vilma
Kevin Kugler-Daryl Johnston
Chris Myers-Mark Schlereth
The Patriots began their season with a surprise road win at the Cincinnati Bengals.
They followed up with a narrow overtime loss to the Seahawks this Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
Speaking before Sunday’s game, Brady said, “I think Jerod Mayo has always shown himself to be a great leader.
“He was like a team captain the moment he walked in the door and I think he’s got great leadership.
“That Patriots style of coaching with discipline and accountability is still there.
“For them to go on the road and beat Cincy – it’s tough to be a first-year coach.”
