Olsen was Fox’s top NFL broadcast analyst last season.
He received rave reviews for his performance during the regular season.
But Brady replaced him in the No. 1 job as he was working the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys matchup alongside play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt.
Olsen, meanwhile, worked on Fox’s No. 2 broadcast team with play-play-play announcer Joe Davis, who works as the network’s top MLB broadcaster, as they called the Atlanta Falcons-Pittsburgh Steelers contest in their debut together.
Olsen joined Fox’s No. 2 team with play-by-play announcer Joe Davis, and they called the Pittsburgh Steelers-Atlanta Falcons game in their debut together.
“New season, new partner, it’s great to be with you, Greg Olsen,” Davis said during the pregame introduction.
“Good to see you buddy,” Olsen replied.
NFL fans praise Olsen’s performance in the game with Davis – and some believe he should still be on the network’s top broadcasting team.
“Olsen is so good. He should be #1 at Fox,” one said.
“He’s tremendous. Should have never been taken off A-team. I understand the business/reason, but man,” a second added.
“Olsen is astounding,” a third added.
“Greg Olsen is killing it on Steelers-Falcons. Just on top of every angle,” a fourth said.
Brady began his 10-year, $375 million analyst contract with Fox.
He was named NVP of the NFL three times and the MVP of the Super Bowl five times.
