OK, so we know Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter broke up again. But it sounds like the reason was way sketchier than the confirmation implied. See, the source told People:

“They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.”

Makes it sound like star-crossed lovers with scheduling issues, right? But if her fans are right, it wasn’t this amicable split at all. Not only is Sabrina is the one who dumped Barry, the Saltburn star is lucky there wasn’t a murder on the dancefloor.

Let’s rewind one day…

DeuxMoi posted a blind item sent in from a source that described a breakup between a rising pop star and “her foreign actor boyfriend” on Monday. The post gained a LOT of traction because it was so obviously about them. And the reason given for the breakup? The boyfriend was cheating with a “semi-famous” TikTok influencer! OH NO!

The not-so-blind item began:

“It appears that this A-list singer who’s having her breakout year and her foreign actor boyfriend are done for good. On the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cozy at San Vicente Bungalows with a blonde, semi-famous, LA based influencer (who’s particularly big on tiktok). I snooped around a bit out of curiosity and apparently he and his popstar girlfriend called it quits very suddenly less than a week before her final shows in LA after she found out he had been chatting with said influencer behind her back for months in a not-innocent-at-all way…”

Oh man, such a sleazeball move! Could this really be the work of Shifty Barry, as Empire Magazine have nicknamed him? Well, there’s more evidence. See, the snooper says this wasn’t just “chatting.” They heard the influencer “had even gone to find him while he was filming in the UK, eager to keep him company while his girlfriend was touring in the US.”

Whoa! Barry was just filming in Yorkshire a bit over a month ago on the Peaky Blinders movie! It really does all fit. Heck, there’s even an explanation of their last “break”:

“He had messed up before and she had forgiven him but nothing as serious and infidelity is where she draws the line.”

Damn straight she should! She deserves WAY better!

But why not just come out and say she dumped his shady ass if that’s what happened? This next part is going to be particularly inneresting for her fans…

“The popstar wants to keep the situation under wraps at least until January because her next single is a steamy song inspired by their relationship and she’s already filmed a music video with very obvious references to him…”

OMG!

The fourth single released off Short ‘n’ Sweet was Bed Chem, which is SO about Barry! She sings, “Who’s the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent?” and, “Who’s the cute guy with the wide, blue eyes and the big bad mm?”

The song was sent to radio stations in October, but a music video hasn’t dropped yet. Should we expect one any day now? In any case, it doesn’t seem like there was any hope to save the song from being overshadowed by IRL drama! The snooper finished off their email by saying:

“The influencer is running her mouth a lot and he isn’t doing much to stop her so I’ll be surprised if they manage to do that.”

Oh damn!

And look what ended up happening… Someone released a confirmation of the breakup to People just a day later! Almost like their hand was forced, right??

So who could this blonde influencer be?? Online sleuths have, let us say, a person of interest at the moment. We’re not sure how they got there, but they think it’s…

For what it’s worth, DeuxMoi doesn’t even seem to buy the rumors. But who knows? Plenty of fans certainly seem convinced! And so far Sabrina and Barry aren’t coming out to set the record straight.
