DETROIT Lions head coach Dan Campbell faced terrifying security concerns during the 2023 NFL season.

Campbell is an immensely popular figure in the NFL, but is also subjected to higher scrutiny when his team fails.

Last season, Campbell was doxxed and had his home address revealed to the public.

This incident saw him become the subject of harassment following some crucial late-season losses.

After the Lions lost to the Dallas Cowboys and then to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, Campbell moved his family to a more secure location.

“Someone sent a bunch of contractors to his house to make repairs that weren’t needed, as a prank,” Fox 2 Detroit reported.

“Again, after a loss against the 49ers in the NFC Championship last season – the harassment ramped up.

“The family filed police reports with Bloomfield Township police.”

The police department of Campbell’s town also released a statement at the time asking fans to respect his privacy.

“The Bloomfield Township Police Department is committed to the safety of all of our residents,” it wrote.

“Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. We hope that everyone, including fans, will respect the privacy of individuals and their families.”

Campbell is selling his Bloomfield house now so he can live a more private life with his family.

“It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost,” Campbell told Crain’s Detroit Business this week.

NFL fans were quick to share their sympathy for Campbell, calling out Lions fans for their poor behavior.

“This is ridiculous. Who are these people?” one fan said.

“This is pathetic from the fanbase,” another fan said.

“Those aren’t fans, complete trash humans,” a third fan said.
