Giants head coach Brian Daboll shared an update on Nabers when speaking to reporters on Wednesday, saying that he was held out of practice for the day.

The third-year head coach revealed that Nabers has not done any physical activity and that he is still in the “early stages” of the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The update is not optimistic due to the fact Nabers had extra time with the Giants since the squad’s last game took place last Thursday.

The LSU product suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of the Week 4 loss.

Nabers attempted to keep his feet in bounds while trying to make a catch near the sidelines, but couldn’t complete the catch.

He also hit his head on the ground and was down for a few minutes while medical staff attended to him.

Nabers then made his way to the medical tent and didn’t return to the game.

The 22-year-old has taken the league by storm.

Nabers has an NFL-leading 35 receptions for 386 receiving yards, which is second in the league.

And he is tied for third with three receiving touchdowns.

Nabers’ 386 yards is 43.8 percent of the team’s total receiving yards (881).

If he doesn’t play against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Giants will likely turn to second-year wideout Jalin Hyatt, who has no receptions this year and has just three targets.

Nabers isn’t the only Giants star whose status is murky.

Running back Devin Singletary missed Wednesday’s practice due to a groin injury he suffered during Thursday’s loss.

Singletary has posted 56 rushing attempts for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

His 221 yards represent close to 65 percent of the team’s 341 total rushing yards.

The Giants would start fifth-round rookie Tyrone Tracy.

The 1-3 New York squad will have a tough task against the 3-1 Seahawks, who will be at home on Sunday.

Seattle is coming off a 42-29 Monday Night Football loss to the Detroit Lions.
