Sauron has returned, and so has The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
We are heading rapidly towards the end of the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and the highly anticipated Siege of Eregion is finally here, surely to be continued in episode 7.
The event from JRR Tolkein’s tales has long been teased by The Rings of Power’s showrunners, who have said it is “high in the running for the most ambitious battle in TV, period”. But is it exactly what Sauron (Charlie Vickers) wants?
The latest instalment also saw the potential beginnings of an alliance between Adar (Sam Hazeldine) and Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), as well as the likes of Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) and King Durin (Peter Mullan) continuing to be manipulated by Sauron.
Most of last season’s cast has returned, including some characters we didn’t expect, though there have been a few switch ups and fresh faces, such as orc leader Adar now being played by Sam Hazeldine.
Read on for everything you need to know about the release schedule for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2.
When is The Rings of Power episode 7 released on Prime Video?
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 episode 7 will be released on Thursday 26th September 2024.
The next episode is written by showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay, along with Justin Doble.
Thankfully, we already have a trailer for the new episode, which you can view on Prime Video as part of the “Inside episode 7” clip.
The trailer shows Celebrimbor further losing his grip on reality as Sauron’s manipulation continues. Sauron/Annatar tells the Elven blacksmith: “True creation requires sacrifice,” and it seems we might finally see the villain reveal his identity (again!).
