Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s sporting documentary on Netflix about the elite world of polo has failed to make it into the streaming giant’s top 10 in Britain, the USA or any of the streaming giant’s other regional markets.

Marketing guru Tony Case has suggested people are distancing themselves from the show to avoid association. As reported in the Mirror, he told The Daily Beast: “The critics have universally slammed the show. Harry and Meghan are box office poison. Of course everyone is running away from it, in every direction, so to as to not pick up the stench of this colossal bomb.”

He added that nobody has found “what they’re peddling to be particularly compelling”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were listed as executive producers on the five-part series that dropped on the streaming giant December 10. Despite not reaching the top 10 list, the series has garnered mixed reviews from fans. However, still called the show as “entertaining and informing” on X.

This marks the latest in a series of streaming projects pursued by Harry and Meghan despite inking a contract worth £80million.

There are still rumblings about The Duchess of Sussexes’ cooking show which will eventually come out sometime next year, and is expected to celebrate “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.

As of yet, there is no release date for Meghan’s cooking programme, which aims to focus on her brand, American Riviera Orchard.
