Luckily, Bridgerton season 3 had a healthy dose of Anthony and Kate Bridgerton. Though the pair were in and out of the Bridgerton home, enjoying an extended honeymoon, their story still saw important developments. Namely, Kate became pregnant with their first child. Then, after Colin and Penelope’s wedding, another change took place for the couple. Anthony suggested they travel to India and stay until the baby is born. Thus, this sweet suggestion sends the duo away for the rest of the season with the hopeful promise that they will return the following year.
Will Anthony And Kate Return From India In Bridgerton?
Anthony & Kate Should Return From India
As of now, Anthony and Kate should return from India in Bridgerton season 4. According to Anthony’s plans, it should take the pair three to four months to sail to India, a few more months until the birth of the baby, and then another three to four months to return to Mayfair afterward. All in all, this trip would likely take about nine months to a year to complete. Therefore, Anthony and Kate should be back in Englandin time for the start of Bridgerton season 4’s social season.
Bridgerton season 4 could easily include Anthony and Kate, but it is up to the actors to make their return a reality.
Of course, in the time between Bridgerton seasons, Anthony and Kate’s fate could easily change. Phoebe Dynevor’s Bridgerton exit is a good example. Although Dynevor briefly returned for Bridgerton season 2, and could have been written into season 3, she ended up exiting the series. Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley could potentially make a similar move if it fit their careers and goals. In this way, Bridgerton season 4 could easily include Anthony and Kate, but it is up to the actors to make their return a reality.
Anthony And Kate’s Season 3 Story Underlines Bridgerton’s Big Problem
Bridgerton Struggles With Its Happy Couples
Unfortunately, as much as Bridgerton tries to include its happy couples, they are one of the show’s biggest downfalls. After Bridgerton season 1, audiences were eager to see more of Daphne and Simon; however, Regé-Jean Page’s exit made this impossible. Daphne’s season 2 plot then struggled without him, leading to Phoebe Dynevor’s exit. If Bridgerton isn’t careful, Anthony and Kate could meet a similar fate. In the end, the show needs to give its characters strong stories after their seasons, or risk losing all the Bridgertons by season 8.
