Eve Best plays Rhaenys in House of the Dragon. The warmth and royal essence that she brings to the role has been exceptional and it’s always great to see her recurring role in the show. Before the show, she played prominent roles in projects like The King’s Speech, Nurse Jackie, and The Honorable Woman.

While she basks in the glory of her current role in the Game of Thrones spinoff show, she already has plans as to what she would like to tackle next. In an interview with The Guardian, Best revealed that her preferred role in her next project would be an antidote to Rhaenys.

She further stated that the only project that got closer to doing to a proper -com was her role in Much Ado About Nothing. Additionally, the actress expressed her desire to play a Bond villain or a female Bond. Best said,

The perfect antidote to Westeros would be a romantic comedy, which I’ve never really done. The closest I’ve got was Much Ado About Nothing. I’d love to do a smart rom-com, Tracy and Hepburn-style. Or a Bond villain. Or Bond?

Her character Rhaenys sadly got killed by Aemond in the latest episode of House of the Dragon in a well-constructed plan with Criston Cole. The actress can now focus on trying to land the roles she mentioned. It will especially be exciting to see her be an intelligent and menacing Bond villain.

Eve Best‘s Rhaenys has been a major source of influence and wisdom for Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon. The Queen Who Never Was jumped into action in the latest episode of the show where she and Aemond engaged in an intense dragon battle.

In an interview with Variety, Best revealed that she was not in her comfort zone while shooting the intense Dragon scenes. She needed more cushions and extra padding for her knees. The actress also struggled to hear the direction given to her as strong winds were blown at her through leaf blowers. Best said,

I felt extremely not in my comfort zone. I definitely kept asking for more cushions and needed more padding on my knees, and feeling very ill-equipped to cope with all of this. And at the same time as it’s moving, they’ve got four guys with enormous leaf blowers blowing wind in your face. You can hardly hear a thing because there’s all this sound of the wind.

Despite her challenges, Best committed to what was asked of her and delivered one of the most thrilling dragon battles seen in the show so far. Her tragic fate left fans heartbroken and it sets the stage perfectly for the incoming bloody war. The first 4 episodes of season 2 of House of the Dragon are streaming on Max.
