A Bridgerton casting agent revealed how she has received an ungodly amount of x-rated application videos from actors aspiring to be on the show.

With the hit Netflix series being quite renowned for its raunchy sex scenes and flirtatious storylines, those looking for a spot on the show have sent their very own steamy content to producers. Desperate times mean desperate measures, right?

Casting agent, Kelly Valentine Henry, explained on interview podcast Should I Delete That how she’s been swamped with emails from actors, showcasing their talents in audition videos which are closer to pornography tapes.

She detailed how she receives these “unsolicited” videos and pictures every day, with some being quite raunchy. Kelly said: “I spent a good hour going through my emails yesterday because I was at 90 per cent capacity.

“That happens every day —  I get sent the most unbelievable videos, unsolicited.

“It’s sex basically, it’s not actual sex but it’s quite punchy. Also, not nude pictures, but not far off.”

Others seem to opt for a wow factor, choosing to send in photos of themselves in kinky scenarios. One woman sent Kelly an image of herself wrapped in plastic in an effort to score a role on the show.

“Someone sent it in, you know, the banners that you put on scaffolding, they have huge eyelets on them? Heavy duty plastic.”

With season four teased to follow the story of Benedict Bridgerton and his romance with the illegitimate daughter of an earl, Sophie Beckett, viewers are clearly pining for a shot at the new role.

Kelly said: “Everybody wants to be Sophie, who is a major lead in Bridgerton. We’ve obviously not done her yet.”

With a suspected two year wait until the next season, it looks like Kelly could have a lot more in store for herself yet.
