GoT Final Season Was a Trainwreck, But This One Moment Almost Saved ItImage credit: Legion-Media

Perhaps if they had it repeated in every episode, it would make a good musical at the very least.

Much has been said about the Game of Thrones finale over the years, but it still seems that the fandom has not quite gotten over the betrayal they felt.

Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done about it today.

While some are trying to erase it from their minds, hoping that George R.R. Martin will heal their wounds when the final book of a franchise is finally released, others are not so forgiving.

Either way, even those who absolutely hated everything that happened in season 8 agree on one moment that made it all better.

Not better in the sense of fixing something, which fans would definitely prefer and appreciate much more, but better in the sense of lightening the mood and appealing to the more sentimental feelings of the audience.

Many fans agree that Podrick’s song was a beautiful highlight of the season, which took place in episode 2.

The song was not only touching, but beautifully executed, and many were surprised to discover yet another of Pod’s endless talents.

As funny as it is, the final season of Game of Thrones offered very few moments that could compete with this one in terms of popularity.

One could argue that there were some other scenes that weren’t half as bad as they’re usually described, but there’s usually no consensus on them.

While some find Jon and Arya’s reunion to be a nice and touching moment, others find it to be one of the most disappointing reunions of the series.

The same applies to the final moments between Jaime and Cersei Lannister.

However, you would not find anyone displeased with Pod’s singing. Quite the opposite, in fact, as many have wondered why music hasn’t been incorporated into the show over the years.

Game of Thrones was certainly far from musical, but a few more performances like this could not spoil the finale any more.
