There was a lot to love about Prime Video’s Fallout Season 1, and now the showrunners have confirmed that Season 2 will feature even more of a fan-favorite character. Make sure to avoid reading on if you don’t want any spoilers, but Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet told Variety that Robert House, aka Mr. House, “will be involved” in the show’s second season.
It won’t be much harder for him to play a bigger role, considering he made a tiny cameo in the first season, but you have to imagine his role will be significant if it’s adapting the games.
What Happens In New Vegas
Fallout Season 1 ended with a huge tease that Season 2 would take us to New Vegas, which is the favorite Fallout game of many fans of the franchise. The Mojave Wasteland featured in that game is home to all sorts of terrifying creatures and colorful characters, like Mr. House, Caesar’s Legion, and the Elvis Presley-impersonating gang known as the Kings.
In other words, there’s plenty of potential for the first season to be even crazier and more off-the-wall than the first.
More Of Mr. House
Now, when we see Mr. House in Fallout Season 2, he’ll undoubtedly look much different than he did in the brief flashback we got in Season 1. In that scene, he showed up before the bombs dropped as a shadowy figure in the meeting between RobCo Industries, Vault-Tec, and other stakeholders at the end of the world. If the show does a 1:1 adaptation of his character from the game, he’ll be a brain in a jar that is plugged into a supercomputer.
A Different Way To Survive The Apocalypse
So, while Walton Goggin’s aptly named “the Ghoul” survived the nuclear apocalypse by becoming an irradiated human, Mr. House took a bit of a different approach. And if Mr. House is pulling the strings in Fallout Season 2, then we’ll get to see exactly how much of a genius-level schemer the character can be. There are numerous different creatures, characters, and settings that fans have on their wishlist for the second season, but Mr. House is definitely near the top of that list.
More Season 2 Confirmations
The confirmation of Mr. House as a bigger part of Fallout Season 2 shows that the showrunners know what fans love about the franchise. It’s also a cherry on top that they have already confirmed that a Deathclaw would make an appearance in the second season. We saw quite a few fearsome radiation-mutated animals in the first season, like the Yao Guai, but a Deathclaw is arguably the most fearsome creature the Wasteland has to offer.
Fans Can’t Wait For Season 2
Now, the only thing left for the Fallout Season 2 team to confirm is the appearance of Super Mutants in Season 2. These are another iconic enemy (and sometimes friend) in the franchise that the TV series would depict perfectly on screen. They would also be one of the most hilarious additions, considering most of the Super Mutants you meet in Fallout are incredibly stupid.
In any case, it seems like Fallout Season 2 is on track to be another great season of video game TV. We just have to wait patiently for it to come out. In the meantime, you can stream all of the first season on Prime Video.
