Emma Corrin Felt "Terrible" after Doing THAT to Chris Evans in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

The most awaited film of the year for many fans was Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. The movie finally brought these two legendary characters together, a partnership that many had been waiting a long time to see.

The film is presently enjoying enormous success in theaters across the globe, and fans are still finding and tallying the numerous Easter Eggs present in the film. And while some of these Easter Eggs were bigger, some smaller, Chris Evans’ return – although not in the role you might expect – was one of the major moments without a doubt.

But, as all those who’ve seen the movie know, Chris Evans’ cameo ended in a very infamous way after his character in the film met with Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova and… well… the scene ended in such a way that even the actress felt “terrible” for doing what she did to Evans in the movie.

Now that the movie is out, we can finally talk about everything that happened in the movie, actress Emma Corrin, who plays Cassandra Nova in the movie, had a talk with GQ in which she discussed her role, the preparation, as well as some interesting moments from the film, including the importance of the cameos. When asked about how she felt about what she did to Chris Evans, Corrin said:

Okay, let’s get into spoilers. You got to kill Chris Evans. How did that feel?

Absoooolutely mad. I felt so bad when we were in the screening the other day. Because we watched it after the New York premiere with all these Lincoln Center full of fans, and everyone was so excited when they see him appear on screen, and then after three minutes, I’ve killed him. I felt terrible. I was hiding in my seat. Yeah, it was weird. Not something I thought I’d be doing if you’d asked me a few years ago.

It’s a great moment.

That’s something [Marvel] do so well, the cameos. You know, they give the people what they want. They give them cameos. But they also don’t use them gratuitously. They’re all there for a reason. And I think you really sense that. Or, I hope people sense that, because I think they’re used really cleverly.

Yeah, I think the way it’s phrased in the movie is, giving these characters an ending.

Exactly. All everyone wants in this film, from Cassandra to Wolverine to Gambit, everyone wants an ending. Everyone wants to be understood and to feel like they matter. That was a really nice thing to feel like I was a part of?

Were you on set at the same time as Chris Evans and Jennifer Garner?

I was on the same set as Chris, but I met Jennifer and Channing [Tatum] and Wesley [Snipes], but I don’t think we had a scene [together]. We didn’t actually shoot together.
