Bridgerton, and 6 Other Most Watched Netflix Hits of All Time

Bridgerton, and 6 Other Most Watched Netflix Hits of All Time

So many people can’t be wrong.

Of course, it wouldn’t be fair to judge the show solely by the number of views it has. But it is one of the strongest indicators of a beloved story that fans want to see more of. Making Netflix ‘s most-watched list of all time is the highest honor a show can receive, and Bridgerton just set another record.

After the runaway success of season 3 of the romantic period drama, it became the first show to have three seasons on the list at the same time. While the list may change in the future, here are all 8 shows that will make up Netflix’s Most Popular chart of all time in July 2024.

Wednesday (# 1)

Whether it’s the connection to the universally beloved Addams Family, Tim Burton’s ingenious approach to storytelling, Jenna Ortega ‘s brilliant performance, or the sheer virality factor of some of the scenes (yes, we’re talking about the dance), it’s hard to think of a show that could beat Wednesday for the top spot.

The show’s first season now sits at #1 with 252.1 million views, and the only upcoming release that looks promising enough to compete is Wednesday season 2, which arrives in 2025.

Stranger Things (# 2, #8)

The first show ever to have not one, but two entries on this list was Stranger Things, as both season 3 and season 4 made it into the top 10. Season 4 now sits at #2 with 140.7 million views, and season 3 follows at #8 with 94.8 million.

Given that season 5 of the show, which will premiere in 2025, will be the final season, there is a good chance that it will also make its way into this list. The only question is, which spot will it take?

DAHMER: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (#3)

The Jeffrey Dahmer Story was just what the world needed in the wake of the true crime genre’s popularity. Though the show ended up being highly controversial for the way it humanized one of the worst criminals in human history and ignored the claims of real victims’ families, people couldn’t stay away.

When it was released in 2022, Evan Peters’ Jeffrey Dahmer garnered 115.6 million views, breaking many viewership records and landing at #3.

Bridgerton (#4, #9, #10)

Even though Bridgerton didn’t make the top 3, it’s safe to say that the show dominates Netflix’s most popular chart. The fact that each of its three seasons made the list is a clear indicator of quality that remains consistent over the years.

Season 1, the story of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings, sits at #4 with 113.3 million views, season 2, the story of Anthony and Kate, sits at #9 with 93.8 million, and Polin season 3 rounds out the ranking at #10 with 91.9 million. However, since season 3 was the last to premiere, the ranking could still change.

The Queen’s Gambit (#5)

An exciting adaptation of the 1983 novel of the same name by Walter Tevis was elevated by Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance and ended up being a reason for many people to get into chess. The miniseries, consisting of only 7 episodes, was very well-paced, extremely intriguing and intense.

The Queen’s Gambit took viewers by surprise in 2020, and even 4 years later, it still holds its position, sitting right in the middle of the rankings with 112.8 million views.

The Night Agent (#6)

Another amazing adaptation, The Night Agent has taken Netflix by storm. In just 4 days it became the third most watched debut series, in 1 week it was renewed for another season, and in less than a month it became the most popular series.

The hype around the show has since died down a bit, but The Night Manager continues to hold the same #6 position that it initially took. Currently, the first season of the show about an FBI agent thrown into an insane conspiracy has 98.2 million views.

Fool Me Once (#7)

With exactly the same number of views as The Night Agent, Fool Me Once came in at #7 on the list. Equally mysterious and intriguing, but relying more on suspense than action, Full Me Once is another very bingeable miniseries on the list and another 2024 newcomer.

Consisting of just 8 episodes, the show tells the story behind a mysterious murder and an even more puzzling return. A must-watch for those who love a good mystery.
