The Goriest Death of The Boys Doesn’t Include Antony Starr’s Homelander!

The Boys may be a satirical superhero TV show on the outside, but it really is an amalgamation of some pretty gory, disgusting, and obscene plots that can even make the strongest of hearts scared. Featuring several incredibly shocking and gruesome deaths, the leader of the supes aka Antony Starr’s Homelander is a master when it comes butchering people mercilessly.

However, when it comes to the worst death of all time to be featured in the show, it isn’t Homelander who takes the crown but instead another super, who was later crushed by Starr’s diabolical supe himself.

The Boys Worst Death of All Time Does Not Include Antony Starr

The Boys is a defining TV show when it comes to pushing the boundaries of gore and gruesome depiction. From featuring excessively obscene content to showing the most violent of deaths and destructions, the Eric Kripke-created series has everything but decency. And when it comes to the star of the show, aka Antony Starr‘s Homelander, he is particularly apt at creating the most destruction with the least amount of effort.

However, the worst-ever death featured in the series has not been at the hands of Homelander. Instead, the honors belong to the Ant-Man-like supe, Termite. Portrayed by Brett Geddes, the gruesome death is featured in the first episode of The Boys’ third season.

It featured Kimiko and Frenchie going to a house party, thrown by Termite himself, where he can be seen having s*x with a doll for the entertainment of his guests. Having taken huge amounts of cocaine, he then proceeds to entertain his partner in a private room. Now, this is where things go down, dirty, and bloody, pretty bad!

His partner proceeds to tell him to get inside him, and Termite quickly shrinks down to get inside you-know-where. However, the high amount of cocaine he has taken makes him sneeze, making him get back to his usual size in a second as his partner’s body explodes in the most hideous way. And this is the worst-ever death featured in The Boys.

How Did The Boys End Up Filming its Worst Ever Death Scene?

Introduced in the series for the first time in the same episode, Termite’s introduction was an impactful affair thanks to the way he ended up accidentally killing his partner. But filming the entire sequence of events was not an easy affair for the show. Having already featured a similarly gory scene in season 1 of the show, showrunner Eric Kripke explained the scene ended up developing quite naturally.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kripke explained,

You’re not supposed to show an erect p*nis. So we had to be very careful with the design of the p*nis — ’cause we built it practically. That’s a real 11-foot-high, 30-foot-long p*nis built at great expense. But if you look at it, we had to design in all these wrinkles to make it clear that it wasn’t erect. So, anyway, it’s exhibit 7,023 why I love this job.

In the Amazon Prime Video’s in-episode trivia, it is further revealed that a silicon cast was made of the actor who portrayed Termite’s partner. While such a gory scene is not uncharacteristic of The Boys, it sure did set up the bar high enough for what could be the worst way for a person to die.

The Boys can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
