From orchestral covers of actual Pitbull to reflective scenes that hold up a mirror to society’s expectations, Bridgerton season 3 really has it all. And we especially loved the focus on Will and Alice Mondrich, one of the most unproblematic yet real couples to come out of the ton. So why was their sex scene cut?
The long-time married couple are parents to three children, and have been a mainstay since season one. Their first appearance in the show was as friends of the Duke, before opening their own gentlemen’s club in season two. And now, in season three, their lives have changed once again, after their son inherited the late Lady Kent’s estate, seeing them move into a grand and swanky house.
In a new interview with Digital Spy, actor Martins Imhangbe, who plays Will, revealed he and co-star Emma Naomi, who plays Alice, filmed a full-on sex scene in their new home for the series, but it was cut from the final edit.

“There was a whole scene written where Will and Alice do it everywhere,” he said. “Then the kids interrupt. There was all this stuff that happened.”
The actor shared how the intimate moment was a reflection of the pair feeling settled in their new surroundings, “There’s something about coming to the house then – now that we’ve put aside all the rules, we kind of enjoy the house, you know?”
“[Will and Alice have] been together for years, like 12 plus years, and there is a myth that married couples don’t still have fiery sex like the new couples do. So I think there’s something [in showing] that you can still have that passion, that fire 12 years on, 15, 20 years on.”
Amen!
