Brady, 47, came on at halftime of the blockbuster college football game to preview the Dallas Cowboys-Cleveland Browns matchup, which he will call alongside Kevin Burkhardt.
During the segment, game analyst Joel Klatt asked the seven-time Super Bowl champ if he’d been rookie-hazed by his new Fox colleagues.
“Have you had to get them donuts or coffee?” Klatt wondered.
Brady said that his new crew, featuring reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi in addition to Burkhardt, had mercy for him.
“They’ve been too good to me,” the NFL icon said.
“I’m kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“I’m like, ‘Hold on, is it always like this?’
“They’ve been absolutely unbelievable.”I love coming to join great teams, and I have that here at Fox, and I have it with my crew.”
“I want to come in here and I want to earn it,” he continued.
“I want to go out there every day and do my best for them and for the fans.
“I want to provide a little bit of insight for everybody to make the game everyone understand a little bit deeper – and I’m really excited about that.”
Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to join Fox’s NFL broadcast team.
