The British actor made a memorable cameo in ‘Emily in Paris’ season 4 part 2

Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 had many standout moments — including shooting on location in Rome — but for actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, she says one costar made the season extra special to film.

While speaking with PEOPLE, Leroy-Beaulieu, 61, says her most memorable scene of part 2 was when she was working with British actor Rupert Everett.

“I had so much fun with Rupert Everett in Rome,” the French actress tells PEOPLE. Though they didn’t previously know one another, she says, “it was so much fun because his personality is crazy.” Adding, “That was a really great moment.”

In episode 10 of season 4, when Leroy-Beaulieu’s character Sylvie Grateau, the stylish PR executive, is in need of an office in Rome, she reunites with an old friend, interior designer Giorgio Barbieri (played by Everett).

Everett, 65, brings the jokes and charms in his guest role as he helps Sylvie with her favor.

While speaking with PEOPLE, the star revealed another scene she won’t soon forget filming — her dress-up montage during a shopping spree with another new addition to the series, Thalia Besson, who plays Sylvie’s stepdaughter Geneviève.

“We filmed that for a long time and we had a lot of material, it could have been a whole clip,” says Leroy-Beaulieu. “I remember that we did ask for Brazilian music, I think, and we had a lot of fun with that, obviously it was like playing dolls.”

In Part 2 of season 4, Emily Cooper escaped on a Roman holiday to spend time with her new love interest Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini). Naturally, Emily can’t keep her personal life and work life separate.

“It’s not the first time you’ve mixed business with pleasure,” Sylvie, Emily’s boss, says to Emily of Marcello in the trailer. “You’re actually quite good at it.”

“I really needed this. A break from work, Paris, everything,” Emily tells Marcello in the teaser clip.

Turns out, Leroy-Beaulieu also really enjoyed the break from filming in Paris as her character joined Emily in the eternal city.

“It was a tough season to film because we were in winter in Paris, so it was a different vibe,” she explains. “It was cold, rainy, it wasn’t as sunny and so it was so beautiful to come [to Rome] and suddenly see some light, colors and people in a good mood.”
