Recently, Ice Spice has been facing fire as a hair company accused the rapper of failing to pay for 20 wigs based on Nicki Minaj’s looks. The accuser, a hairstyling company named Thee Bella Brand, took to Instagram on July 23 and wrote,
“As a business owner, you have to try to turn something into nothing at of the times! So, I was supposed to do Ice Spices tour and they sent me a wig order (19) and then called me again to add more (5) and then when it was time to pay, they didn’t have the budget..”

She further added that although the team had promised to pay her a service charge, they never did. The crew did, nevertheless, make an attempt to obtain another unit. However, things didn’t go well when Gia, the CEO of the company, brought up the unpaid service charge.
Now once the news went viral, fans and netizens took to Instagram to criticize the Barbie World singer, commenting on her attempts to imitate Nicki Minaj’s look.

Ice Spice is receiving backlash for allegedly not paying for 20 wigs based on Nicki Minaj’s looks

The company, Thee Bella Brand, stated that although they were contracted to supply 24 wigs for Ice Spice’s tour, Spice and her group didn’t have the funds to purchase the pieces.
They assumed that since they previously did business together, everything would be resolved. Unfortunately, Ice Spice’s crew allegedly canceled the wig orders one day before they were scheduled to be delivered since the payment date kept shifting.
They then took to the brand’s page on Instagram and X to call out the rapper and her team. Doing the same, they wrote in a post,
“That was my dumb mistake for thinking since we worked together for years that everything will be OK. But unfortunately… They kept changing the date (4 changes) so she decided to cancel at the last minute (1 day before the units were ready) after I made a whole bunch of wigs….”
The post further said that the company even told her that they would never deal with her again professionally in the future. Nevertheless, the rapper’s team later reportedly informed the company that they would cover the service charge for creating units, however, they didn’t.
The business then claimed that they had to put 14 hours of labour to make the units overnight and had to pay $2000 to the hairstylist in the shop, which, eventually, went to waste.
They further accused the rapper and said,
“Things happen, but that is not how you handle someone that respects your business AND ALWAYS comes through for you at the very last minute. LITERALLY!!!!!! Also you still owe me my wig back because it’s not paid for what’s going on with that??…..”
The post concluded, “You really disappointed me when you asked me to give you the tour units for free? 20k in wigs For no promo at that…… Now, when have you ever known me to do that? Thank you for making us make all of these Nicki Minaj wigs…”
On the other hand, even though the accusations hadn’t been proven as of yet, once the post went viral, Ice Spice’s fans immediately took to Instagram to slam the rapper. Some said that she wanted to be Nicki extremely bad, whereas others said that Nicki might soon go after her.
Nevertheless, Ice Spice or her team have neither denied nor accepted these claims.
