Yuki Chiba featured on Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming album 'Megan'

Yuki Chiba, formerly known as KOHH, is set to make a notable appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s highly anticipated 3rd studio album ‘Megan’, scheduled for release on June 28th. The collaboration sees Chiba returning to the international spotlight following his retirement from the KOHH persona in 2021.

On June 21st, Megan Thee Stallion unveiled the tracklist for her independent debut album, revealing that Chiba will feature on the 10th track ‘Mamushi’. Produced by Koshy, known for his work with prominent Japanese rap artists including Chiba himself, the track promises to be a unique blend of international styles.

Koshy commented on his Instagram about the announcement, stating, “6/28 Koshy Atsu will echo around the world!”

Chiba, who gained global attention with his viral hit ‘Team Tomodachi’ earlier this year, has been actively reshaping his musical identity. Collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion highlights Chiba’s comeback in both the Japanese and international hip-hop scenes.

In a post about the collaboration on his Instagram, Chiba said, “I’m so happy, I’m grateful.”

The news of Yuki Chiba featuring on ‘Megan’ comes after Megan Thee Stallion shared a photo of them together on Megan’s Instagram back in March. Moreover, Chiba, in a recent radio interview, expressed gratitude for Megan’s anime recommendations, which included ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ and ‘My Hero Academia’.

Megan, an avid anime fan herself, presented the award for Anime of the Year at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, cosplaying as Bruno Bucciarati from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

In May, Yuki Chiba presented the ‘Team Tomodachi Shot Live’ at POP YOURS 2024, where he performed his viral hit alongside Jin Dogg and Young Coco in front of a sold-out Makuhari Messe.
