Fans Call Out Controversial Stat That 'Exposes' Caitlin Clark

The last four wins for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have been against teams with winning records, and Sunday was no different. They traveled north to defeat the Minnesota Lynx, 81-74.

Clark struggled in the first three quarters of the game, but turned her day around in the fourth to help claim the Fever’s 11th win of the season. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star tallied 17 points, with 10 coming in the final quarter. She also registered six assists and three rebounds.

The first pick in the 2024 WNBA draft was also credited with two steals in her box score, but evidence suggests one of those steals should have counted as a block.

At the 8:30 mark of the fourth quarter, Courtney Williams took a shot, but Clark snatched the ball out of the air and took it the other way.

The WNBA counted this play as a steal. Fans were not happy with the league for making this small error on the box score and called the WNBA out for it on social media.

Whether a block or a steal, there is no doubt that this defensive play from Clark was incredible.
