Adam and Leighton didn’t announce their marriage and kept their ceremony extremely private. Us Weekly broke the news on February 18, 2014, and Adam confirmed the nuptials when he was approached by a TooFab reporter days later.

“Hey man, is it true you really got married?” the paparazzi asked Adam, who simply replied, “Yeah.”

One month prior, Adam revealed that he and the Country Strong star are “honest” with their kids and have “truthful conversations, for better or worse.”

“There is a helicopter, you know, to keep them safe,” he said on Today with Hoda and Jenna. “I’m not overly strict but I see the sharp edges, literally. And their heads aren’t gonna … I want to keep those heads maintained.”
