It may be hard to believe that a sentient snowman in love could make for one of the most-watched films on Netflix, but with the holiday season around the corner, it seems like that’s just what we needed.
Lacey Chabert and Schitt’s Creek actor Dustin Milligan star in the latest holiday romcom, aptly titled Hot Frosty, about a snowman who comes to life thanks to a magic scarf, and lights up the world of Kathy, a dejected widow. “I think the whole movie has a really fun undertone to it. These characters are in on the joke in a way themselves, and they’re not taking it too seriously,” the 42-year-old told People.
The Mean Girls alum recently reunited with her fellow Plastic, Lindsay Lohan, who plays Cady Heron in the cult classic comedy, for an episode of Watch What Happens Live, recreating the iconic cafeteria scene. Lohan spoke about her own Christmas film, Our Little Secret, while Chabert was quizzed about her Hallmark films, which she has done a whopping 40 of.

Netflix success aside, the Family Guy voice actress has no plans of letting her holiday streak with Hallmark go. She is all set to enchant our screens again with The Christmas Quest, alongside Kristoffer Polaha, and is hosting the channel’s unscripted show Celebrations with Lacey Chabert.

Lacey Chabert was born on September 30, 1982, in Purvis, Mississippi. When she was seven, she moved to New York and later to LA when she turned 11. The Dirty Deeds star has Cajun (French), English, Italian and Scottish roots.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Chabert was born to be a star. “I always wanted to entertain,” she revealed in an interview with Seventeen, adding, “When I was little, I would sing in front of the mirror with a hairbrush or my sisters and I would make shows. I always wanted to be on TV.”
Determined to make good on that aspiration, she joined Broadway when she was seven, playing Cosette in Les Miserables. Soon, she got her big TV break with Party of Five at 11 and left school. When she wasn’t acting, she was being tutored on set.

Although Chabert found fame in the entertainment industry at a young age, she revealed to Seventeen that she always wanted to be a waitress: “My sister opened a restaurant in Mississippi, and I went down there and was a waitress for a few days. Let me tell you, I got it out of my system.”
