Madeline Argy Central Cee Ice Spice

There’s a whole lot of TikTok drama going down concerning influencer Madeline Argy and rapper Central Cee—and some cheating rumors that have been circulating about him and fellow rapper Ice Spice. Not up to speed? We’ve got you.

On Friday, Central Cee and Ice Spice released a collab track called “Did It First,” the lyrics of which are centered around both performers cheating on their respective partners—and the music video is also quite provocative.

That’s not all: Pictures have also surfaced of Central Cee and Ice Spice shopping together, and Ice Spice and Central Cee performed together at London’s Wireless Festival over the weekend. Ice even published a picture of the two of them, along with some other snaps from her performance. Fans have hit back in the comments due to their suspicions about Central Cee’s cheating.

But Madeline, who previously dated Central Cee, seems quite sure the entire drama has been done for publicity or “marketing.”

Madeline Argy and Central Cee have been dating on and off since 2022—though things seem to have officially soured, now that Madeline has made a five-part series documenting his actions.

Here’s what we know.

What has Madeline Argy said about the Central Cee and Ice Spice cheating rumors?

Madeline explained the way things went down from her perspective, posting a series of videos to her TikTok account.

“I did not know that any of this […] was going to happen,” she said. “Let me take you guys back a couple months. I’m laid up in bed and [Central Cee] comes to me and he’s like, ‘I have a new song to show you.’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, serenade me!’ And then he plays me his verse. I’m like… not only did you just snitch on yourself that you’re cheating, but you just told me exactly how.”

The lyrics she’s referring to are as follows: “I’m selective with who I get with / Gyal on my phone tryna see who I slept with / She investigating, detective / Lucky for me, I deleted the message / All along, it was me and a bad bitch / But I told her it was me and my bredrin.”

She says that Central Cee told her that there was no truth to the lyrics, though, and that the story told in the song was all part of a marketing stunt. Are you with us so far?

“A while later, he tells me he wants to hire an influencer to do one of those ‘lip-syncing’ videos to one of his older songs. So I’m like, ‘Okay, makes sense,’” Madeline said.

“He didn’t tell me he was sending her his personal car to start a dating rumor with her. I was with you guys knee-deep in that comment section [trying to work out what was going on.] We were still together.”

She went on, “So I call my team, and they’re like, ‘Madeline, he just started a dating rumor with another girl. Aren’t you supposed to be going to Nigeria with him in two days?’”

“And this is when it clicks. This is not a ‘bae-cation.’ I have just entered this man’s marketing scheme. So I say I’ll still come to Nigeria based on the one condition that none of the professional photos that are taken of us get posted, because I’ve just realized what is happening,” she explained, adding, “Shocker, the pictures get out.”

Madeline is adamant that the entire timing of the “Did It First” release was based on Central Cee’s “plot.” “I then remember he also gave me a release date for the song, and I’m realizing that it’s only like a month and a bit away…and that I am knees-deep in this guy’s plot,” she said.

“I didn’t want to be seen with him…for as long as possible before this song drops, because I want to be as far away from that conversation as humanly possible,” Madeline added, making it clear that she didn’t want to be involved in the cheating speculation and rumors.

She planned to break up with him, but says Central Cee wouldn’t see her until July 1—around then, she says, he called her. “He ends up calling me at 11 p.m. at night and he’s like, ‘I need to see you tonight…because you need to remember that I’m a human being when you see what you’re gonna see tomorrow.”

The next day, photos of him and Ice Spice shopping together were published online. “I didn’t even actually get to break up with him and he’s already with the next girl,” Madeline said. According to her, that phone call was the last direct conversation they had.

To add insult to injury, this all occurred in the lead-up to her birthday. “I thought [my] rapper boyfriend was at least considerate enough to let me have my birthday week, and then I see them at the club on the 6th of July. My birthday is on the 7th.”

Have Central Cee and Ice Spice responded?

Ice Spice and Central Cee have yet to comment directly on these reports and continue to promote their single, “Did It First.”
