Penelope and Francesca Bridgerton in front of a gold clock

Nearly a month after the premiere of part 1, Netflix will release the final episodes of Bridgerton season 3 part 2. The show focuses on the British upper-class refinement and romantic lives of the Bridgerton siblings. So far, season 3 has focused on telling the love story of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Reviews of Bridgerton season 3 part 1 were largely positive, with a large fan base following the show since its premiere in 2020. This popularity means viewers expect a lot from Bridgerton season 3 part 2.

In season 3, Bridgerton introduced some new cast and characters while returning to lingering emotional storylines from the past. Though the show has several anachronisms and modern song covers, Bridgerton is set in the Regency Era, which spans from 1795 to 1837. Based on the books by Julia Quinn, the Bridgerton series has amassed millions of viewers and readers. Season 3 tells the story of the fourth book in the seriesRomancing Mr. Bridgerton. Readers of the book have an idea of the season’s ending, but for many, the release of season 3 part 2 will be a dramatic and suspenseful conclusion.

The Conclusion To Colin And Penelope’s Tumultuous Love Story

The first part of Bridgerton season 3 featured the alluring romance between Penelope and Colin, who are almost engaged by the end of episode 4, setting up some exciting questions. More of their romance, wedding planning, and perhaps even their actual wedding will undoubtedly be shown in part 2. The first half of Bridgerton season 3 also left viewers on a cliffhanger about the Lady Whistledown secret. Part 2 will reveal more about the consequences of Penelope keeping her identity as Lady Whistledown a secret from Colin, and if she eventually decides to tell him the truth.

Ideally, the end of the entire season will be more conclusive than the end of episode four, but a cliffhanger might be essential for keeping viewers interested. Currently, the series plans to produce eight seasons to reflect the romances of each Bridgerton sibling. Bridgerton season 4 has already been confirmed and will likely be split into a two-part release as well, based on the viewership of the season 3 releases. With anticipation building, viewers will not have to wait much longer for further developments in the Bridgerton saga.
