Anne Hathaway has been a staple on our screens for years, having appeared in iconic movies from the Princess Diaries to The Devil Wears Prada – but it’s hard to put an age on the stunning actress
If you grew up in the 90s and 00s, there are many things you’ll never forget.
One of them is Anne Hathaway’s super glam make-over when she starred in the Princess Diaries. It wasn’t long before she made her mark in the Devil Wears Prada too, which premiered at the LA Film Festival 18 years ago today (Saturday, June 22).
But even though she’s taken on so many iconic roles, it’s hard to put an age on the actress – partly because her stunning beauty makes her seem almost ageless.
People have taken to TikTok to share how they think Hathaway has never aged. Clips of the actress over the years have been complied together to show how she’s kept her youthful glow.
If you’re wondering, the star is actually 41 – and some people can’t get over it. Social media users have dubbed her “perfect” online, as they think she always looks amazing.
Taking to social media, one person said: “She looks so good.” Another chirped in with: “Doesn’t age at all.”
A third joked: “She’s a vampire.”
Even though people tell her she looks amazing, the actress previously had something to say to the people who tell her she “looks good” for her age. She opened up about some of the things people have said about her appearance during an interview with Today’s Sheinelle Jones last year.
At the time, she took some time to reflect on how she shot to fame during her teens, and she also talked about some of the misconceptions that used to exist when it came to the topic of ageing in Hollywood.
“I started in this business when I was 17 years old, in a very different era,” she said. “There was this perception that there was going to be a cliff, and that cliff was a really young age. And the world’s changed since then.”
During the interview, she also shared some of her own thoughts about ageing. She was asked how she’d respond if people said things to her such as “Oh, you’re ageing gracefully” or “Oh, you look so good for your age.”
Anne simply replied: “I don’t think about age. To me, ageing is another word for living.”
